Nevado Vallunaraju 5686m Mountain Climbing

Route: SW Slopes
Season: April – September
Day 1: Drive to Llaca Valley 4350m and ascend to the Moraine Camp 4950m. 2 hours drive and 3 hours walk.
Day 2: Basic Climbing Instruction on the glacier.
Day 3: Summit attempt and return to Huaraz.
Technical Difficulty & Fitness
1. Ropes are used principally for glacier travel and low-angle snow or ice slopes. Climbing experience is preferred, but not essential.
A. Good fitness, which for most people requires some training, by running, hiking and able to carry your personal climbing gear.
Health and Fitness
To get the most out of your climbing experience with us, you will need to be fit, healthy and well acclimatized to the altitude. You do not need to be an athlete, but a good level of overall fitness is important. As an indication, you should be able to walk for up to 3 hours with a heavy backpack.
